After lack of focus from team manager Airik, Team airik is only a shadow of what it used to be. Team airik have a lot of history to look back on, ex. winning the world championship, been number 2 in the OCM tour, having the top ranked rider in the world. but those days are gone. The latest seasons have been spent in division 2, and Team airik have been all the way down at 100th place.
Why? Easy. "The last year have been very busy for me, and I just let the team run around doing what they wanted. The team was getting older and older, without any form of replacement in the horizon, the team got weaker and the problems just got worse," team manager Airik said to the press.
"But now things are improving. We have sold a lot of our older riders, and will unfortunately sell both Assis and Nico in the coming days. No more oldies! We have since day 1 tried have both solid climbers and solid sprinters in the team, but due to some of the problems, we will from this season have sprinters only," Airik continued.
Some optimism might be due to the arrival of the very talented Urbano Arzu and the great potensial that is Ivan Cernat, which will, according to and overexcited Airik, skyrocket Team Airik to the 1st place the next season!
